Nicholas Manuel Pino is a Chilean American, Award-Winning writer, director and D.P. In 2017, he was awarded the Emerging Voices fellowship from New Orleans Film Festival and in 2018 premiered his short, The Funeral Band featuring actors from Guardians of the Galaxy 2, The Oath and NCIS to critical acclaim. Focusing on dramedy with heart and featuring POC leads, his films have screened in film festivals around the country. As a writer, his screenplays and TV pilots have been semi-finalists and finalists in competitions including Screencraft's Fellowship and Oscar-qualifying film festival contests. In 2020 he was named one of the "40 under 40" by Gambit Magazine. He's currently in post-production of a feature documentary about legendary body painter, Craig Tracy(TV Show Skin Wars) and on assignment adapting a novel to a feature. Commercially, he's directed content for brands including, Live Nation, Spotify, Sony, Modelo and Volkswagen Europe. He's won "Best Music Video" and "Best Commercial" from Offbeat Magazine and has been nominated for a Telly Award. Recently, Pino directed a Juan Lafonta f/ Big Freedia(Fuse TV's Queen of Bounce) commercial that's been featured on Ellen, created a new category on MTV's Ridiculousness and was called "Iconic" by Fader Magazine.
